Shipping policy

We offer multiple shipping options. Note that, during the shipping process, agar may break apart and the plantlets may be displaced inside the container by the courier. This does not usually affect plantlet health (carefully inspected before shipping). On rare occasions you may see contamination in the container upon arrival. If this happens, process the plantlets as soon as possible.

Domestic US

We ship from Monday through Wednesday via UPS at the shipping speed chosen at checkout. During times of extreme heat or cold, we will insulate your order at no additional cost. Complimentary heat packs are added when the temperature drops below 45ºF.
Between December 1 and March 1, live arrival is only guaranteed if UPS Next Day shipping is chosen. Winter shipping conditions can be unpredictable despite the most careful packing. We reserve the right to delay shipping until there are favorable weather conditions here in Detroit and the destination. Slower shipping options may be selected at the customer's risk. At other times of the year, live arrival is guaranteed for UPS 2 Day or UPS Next Day provided that the temperature is between 40 oF and 90oF.

International 

All international orders outside of Canada and the US require an individual phytosanitary certificate. There is no limit to the number of plants per order/phytosanitary certificate. The current fee for this document is $80. The processing time for a phytosanitary certificate is 5-7 business days. We use UPS Worldwide Expedited or DHL for small orders (usually takes between 2-5 business days from when it is ready to ship out). It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify that the plant species are allowed entry and if an import permit is necessary. If you would like to place an international order, please contact us directly.
